THE CONFERENCE
Welcome to ILMAT 2025, the 8th International Conference on Ionic Liquid-Based Materials, to be hold in Rome between the 8th and 12th of September 2025.
In a rapidly evolving world, ionic liquid-based materials, including molten salts, low melting temperature mixtures and (deep) eutectic solvents, play a crucial role in addressing societal challenges related to environmental sustainability, energy security, and resource efficiency. Their unique properties and diverse fields of applications make them valuable tools for advancing technology, fostering innovation, and promoting sustainable development.
This international meeting will represent a stimulating platform for ideas exchange, challenging discussions and convivial interactions for the variegated ionic liquid scientific community.

TOPICS
Following ILMAT Conference tradition, at ILMAT2025, we aim to gather new research on fundamental ILMATs properties and recent developments in their applications to chemistry, physics, biology, pharmacology, energy, materials etc. Dedicated sessions will be held with focus on successful exploitations of ILMATs to technological fields.
Contributions focusing on ionic liquids, molten salts, Low Melting Temperature Mixtures (LMTM) and (deep) eutectic solvents (DES) will be welcome.
We invite you to submit your proposal for an oral or a poster presentation, indicating the research field that better describes the range of applications:
