Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (Italian National Research Council) – CNR

The Italian National Research Council (CNR) is a national public research organization with multidisciplinary expertise, supervised by the Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR). Founded in 1923, its mission is to carry out scientific research projects in the main fields of knowledge and to apply the results to the development of the country, promoting innovation, the internationalization of the “research system” and the competitiveness of the industrial system.

In addition, the CNR is the largest non-university institution involved in the PhD programs of Italian universities, with the aim of contributing to the higher education of young people through paths characterized by a very high scientific profile, innovation and quality of research.
